Music of a Sinking Occasion

Aesthetics

Classical moods dream and drift like some old jazz-quality thrift store find, while over and around trumpet blues and piano interludes, the beat moves. A drum and bass groove flows, until the second song hits, and suddenly you are thrown into a waterfall of melody. Heart-touched slow core acoustics, male/female harmonies like butterflies. Indie lounge smooth. The music rains. Elements of bands like Low, but sometimes with vocals that soar, reminding me at times of Jen Wood. The male vocals are soft and almost spoken. Tired and longing for something to take away the ache. Codeine snow falls across your ears and you move with the songs into atmosphere.
