Dzihan & Kamien

Refreaked

Six Degrees

After dropping the quirky downtempo of Freaks & Icons last year, Austria’s favorite unpronounceable producers have quickly returned with the inevitable remix CD. With their love of Eastern music ever so intact, the duo have handed their master tapes over to a few friends, with dignified results. The dub and jazz elements are even more prevalent, with UFO’s remix of “Homebase” sprucing things up with some amplified tabla n’ bass action. This is just a precursor to the vibrant, exotic funk steppers that await on side B. The swinging “2 Minutes Bonus Track” lands the final shot in an already tranquilizing experience, leaving one to wish the duo could freak things up yet again.
