Palace Of Oranges

Prepare to Greet a Guest

Rubric

This trio pushes out a Sonic Youth onslaught that covers the walls with noise. Noise so thick that the vocals are completely buried. Like a wash of My Bloody Valentine meets Jesus and Mary Chain, but the wash isn’t strong enough, so they throw in a little extra noise. Thick and full, yet still melodic, and I know they’re saying something. The sound switches a little, to more of a Yo La Tengo country tune, but then they decide that it’s not strong enough to stand on it’s own, so back to the noise. This kind of is a recurring theme. Nice melody, cool rhythms, sing in the background, cover with noise. I like it.
