Steve Stevens

Flamenco A Go-Go

ARK 21

This album reveals just how ridiculous the music industry is. As if we needed a new reminder. With all this guy’s jumping around on stage in Billy Idol’s band with most likely the biggest hair in the business (except for Jennifer Batten – who also played with Michael Jackson… coincidence?), you’d think he would never release a seemingly straight and very well done flamenco album. No doubt, this guy is a good guitarist and pretty creative. But to play “Rebel Yell” and now this? But I don’t know what’s up with this or how a guy can keep a straight face doing either one. The funny thing is that if he came out and played like this on stage with Billy Idol, he’d get the crap beat out of him. And that, to me, is something not quite right.
