Alice Texas

Gold

Hitting immediately with a nice Mazzy Star vocal vibe, Alice Texas moves a little more upbeat and a little more towards the country. The songs are full of shadows, and the darkness is very seductive… like the voice of singer Alice Schneider. There are some sounds that bring me directly to the deep lounge sounds, red velvet curtains, and whiskey shots, of New York band The Gunga Din. Maybe because you get Jim Sclavunos on the drums. Maybe because the music is so sexy.
