Small Brown Bike

Dead Reckoning

No Idea

Straining against the walls of my apartment, this music hits hardcore. Aggressive and emotional post punk melodics that rage poetically against the past and towards the future. The guitars never give in, and the lyrics speak volumes. Somewhere between bands like Leatherface and The Alkaline Trio, flying with guitar licks that curl sneeringly around your throat, Small Brown Bike keeps rolling faster. A couple of guest appearances from friends in Keleton DMD and Nathan Ellis of the Casket Lottery are nice touches, giving the songs a wider grasp of where they can go. This band, with only two full length CDs available, are definitely on their way. The speed and energy captured here, along with the strength to put the brakes on just before the crash, is almost beautiful.
