Joe Davis

Hope Chest

In Music We Trust

Taking an acoustic-based break from pop sensations, The Pinehurst Kids, Joe Davis spins a soothing blend of moody moments and mellow rock grooves. Bringing to mind a quiet version of Heatmiser, the songs sink and catch against your thoughts, introspective and circled in sunlight. Yeah, there’s definitely some Elliott Smith going on, but the vocals are more along the lines of No. 2’s Neil Gust. It hits West Coast smooth like summer road driving tunes.
