I Could Sing of Your Love Forever 2

25 Modern Worship Songs for a New Generation

Sparrow

Sparrow Label Group and Worship Together, a Web-based resource site for modern worship music, have come together again to bring the second modern worship music compilation of their very young relationship, entitled I Could Sing of Your Love Forever 2. Included on this 25-song, two-CD set are newer Christian artists that are just emerging on the modern worship music scene, including Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Tim Hughes, and Ten Shekel Shirt, along with more readily known Christian artists such as Delirious?, SonicFlood, and Matt Redman.

The first CD in the set is completely studio efforts by the many artists, and includes many favorites of Christian music ministers worldwide. It begins with SonicFlood’s “In The Secret,” followed by Paul Oakley and Tim Hughes collaborating on “Jesus, You Alone.” The newcomers, Ten Shekel Shirt, that have taken the youth listening audience by hurricane-like storm come next with the opening to many worship services these days, “Meet With Me.” Also included on CD number one of the set is the CD title song, “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever” by Delirious?, along with “Forever” by Chris Tomlin and many, many more.

Disc number two in the set is a compilation of live performances, and is by far the best of the two CD set. Live performances on this disc include “Undignified” by Matt Redman, “Give Us Clean Hands” by Chris Tomlin, and “Open the Eyes of My Heart” by SonicFlood. One of the most impressive tracks of the two CD set is a live tune by Kathryn Scott, entitled “Hungry.”

The first installment of I Could Sing of Your Love Forever went gold only nine months after its release. In listening to this second installment, I can assure you that this one is headed in the same direction. Whether you are a music minister or simply a person wanting to sing along with and learn the newer contemporary music presented in Christian churches everywhere, this is an awesome set to own. Most of the songs on this CD are the very tunes we sing in my church on a weekly basis, and I have been recommending it to new members of our church to learn the worship music by heart. An excellent compilation in modern worship music!
