The Start

Shakedown

The Label

New Wavey hard edged rock that grooves like a keyboard and shakes like a punk rock popper. There’s some guitar riffs that scream out “Metal!,” but they’re covered by the almost Garbage-like vibe of the electronics and the Gwen Stefani meets Cyndi Lauper vocals of Aimee Echo. Some of the songs move down and into a synth-touched darkness that reminds me of something like Tori Amos singing Siouxsie songs with Gary Numan fanatics taking over the instruments, but that’s not really doing justice to the sound. It’s very teenage driven, and I’m no longer a teenager. This is like the music the kids in the movie Pretty In Pink would be listening to.
