Luigee Trademarq

Bande Original

Rectangle

Crudites! French porn music, pure and simple. Of course, if that was where it ended, there wouldn’t be much to write about. But this is different – behind the Gallic moans and groans (did she say “tres grande”?), Luigee Trademarq pumps out some of the most inventive instrumentals I’ve heard in quite some time. “Peep Show Kebab” loops a simple riff to great effect – it’s very energetic and danceable – while “Pétassine” is a jiggly little ska number. There’s three discs of this stuff, and plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. Very reminiscent of Vampiros Lesbos… Mr. Trademarq seems to be overflowing with musical ideas, and his fertile imagination seems to mesh well with the sensual nature of the films. Track it down and turn on your next party!
