Getting Into Sinking

Polyvinyl

Moving through the speakers with an upbeat groove and a spaced out rhythm, this CD speeds by and takes forever. A timeless experience that still catches you. Quirky pop that calls to mind The Flaming Lips, The Beach Boys, Rod Stewart, and Modest Mouse. The songs seem a little drawn out at times, meandering through deserts and sunsets and indie jam band guitar chords, but then just as you’re getting used to the speed of things, the time changes, the hooks spike you, and you’re moving to a different beat.
