As One a.k.a. Kirk Degiorgio

21st Century Soul

Ubiquity

Classy, grief stricken electronic music with deep, jazzy beats and smooth, weighty samples. “Problems” (funky), “Undefeated” (downtempo), “Music Is an Open Sky” (neo jazz/funk) and “I’ll Keep Loving You” (true electronic) show a few of the directions As One goes into on his second release. It’s a little bit better than a lot of the other downtempo on the market, it has an edge, but not much of one. Buy this only if you can hear it for yourself first.
