No Redeeming Social Value

40 Oz. of Hardcore

Triple Crown

No Redeeming Social Value wants you to drink beer and basically fuck off. Ah, yes, definitely New York tough guy hardcore. Grab your buddy and pound him into oblivion in the pit. I think this is supposed to be a some sort of collection of “the good times,” and if this is true, I certainly don’t want to see the bad times. I can’t think of many distinguishing characteristics of this album. Every song starts fast and hard, and ends fast and hard. Some of the sound samples in between songs are pretty funny. I would say this is more aggressive punk than youth crew, chugga-chugga, screamo or any other type of hardcore. Definitely an album for the aging hardcore fan. I still think they ripped the title off Sublime.
