Allen Clapp

Whenever We’re Together

The Bus Stop Label

A lovely 3-track taster for former Orange Peels front man Allen Clapp’s forthcoming release. The title track is a haunting, dreamy track, brimming with nostalgia and bittersweet longing for days gone by. Clapp’s world is one that shares more than the regular passing nod with mid-‘70s post-Brian Wilson Beach Boys and early-day Elton John, as evidenced by “Sad September,” the single’s surprise stand-out track. Although not as instantly memorable as the title track, it’s the one that’ll keep you coming back, and – along with the other single-only track, “Night Falls” – a good reason to seek out this release, along with the forthcoming full-length album.
