The Underwolves

Under Your Sky Remixes

Jazzanova-Compost

Saccharine-sweet Sade soul. That late-night schmooveness propagated by any group with “Groove” in their title. The buttery seduction of lead vocalists Jeb Loy Nicholls and Madeleine Edgehill that blow Quiet Storms in your lover’s ear. That is The Underwolves. And this album is exactly all of that – being ripped up and deconstructed in a mad, Foucaultian frenzy. This remix project is full of sophisticated swing as some of dance’s best producers go off the lithium to execute some exquisite madness. Fauna Flash, Divine Stylers, Peshay vs. Photek, Juryman, Restless Soul, Spacek, Earthbound, and Intega break beats, hip hops, drop tabla d&b beats, frenzy their percussion, and nu that jazz all over the disc. The end result is a marvelous eclecticism whose only unifying quality is the quality. A truly fine time.
