The Sound of the Crowd

The “Feminist” Buffy

(Warning: Buffy stuff follows. If not interested, move on) Sarah Michelle Gellar says in a new interview that the Spike/Buffy sex scenes in the series’ sixth season left her feeling “degraded.”

Join the club. It’s worth noting this makes SMG the third woman from Buffy’s cast to express displeasure with the way either they, their characters, or both were treated in the show’s last years.

Kind of um, oh what is is that word…ironic that a series whose creator so prides himself on being a Champion Of Feminism couldn’t keep more actual, human women happy and satisfied, isn’t it?
