Well This Is Very Promising Indeed
The BBC are making a new series of The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy to be broadcast on their Radio 4. Adaptation (of the last three Hitchhiker’s novels) and direction is by a man the late creator of the series himself, Douglas Adams, hand-picked. Almost all the original cast is returning (god bless radio, where it doesn’t matter if you look the part), and one role will be played by Adams himself.
Don’t double-check, I know I called him the “late” Douglas Adams above, and that’s sadly true; he passed away a few years ago. But that doesn’t mean he won’t work for the BBC.
You can follow the above link to work out just how they’re going do this, I prefer to believe he was just spending those years dead for tax reasons. Either way, I want to hear this much more than I want to see the forthcoming film, everything I hear about which makes me queasy.
