Baby Dayliner

High Heart & Low Estate

Brassland

One-man synth band Baby Dayliner writes and sings techno-ditties in a deep voice, eerily like that of Mark McKinney from “The Kids in the Hall.” He’s got some novel lyrics (kudos for the Modern English quote) but could use a couple more trips to the melody well – Vince Clarke he isn’t, and that’s a bad thing.

This is an album that is almost always interesting and diverting but rarely wins your heart.
