The Sound of the Crowd

We Have An Update

Watched the series premiere of “Jack & Bobby” tonight. Some good characterization, but again, it failed to fully hold my interest. I’ll watch another episode, though, and quite possibly more, to see how maturity develops.

Not the young president to be and his brother, the series itself. See, I’ve noticed that a lot of series that start strong don’t make through their first season, and I think part of that is because the ideas, however high in quality, are too hard to sustain for the 100+ episodes needed to make it in TV.

“Jack & Bobby” has the makings of such a series–it might make a good TV movie or even miniseries, but are there really that many variations to be wrung on the theme (especially after telling us at the end of this one who the Prez will be?)
