The Sound of the Crowd

TV Update 2

Watched the AMC documentary “Rated R: Republicans In Hollywood.” It was an effort to refrain from yelling at the screen, a struggle I sometimes lost.

A former writer for “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” said he went to Hollywood to sneak “Christian Values” into shows. A man whose new movie’s chief selling points are that it contains a scene of explicit oral sex and was virtually booed offscreen at Cannes was described as a “Republican poster-boy”

And my bullshit tolerance meter went ding! Everybody out of the pool!

The thing is, it’s difficult to know who to blame: The Hollywood Republicans spewing half-truths, or the documentarian letting them run unchallenged, and adding one or two of his own.
