…how soon Shandling will get a new Larry Sanders miniseries going on HBO.

…why Matt Leblanc was introduced as “the star of Friends,” not “The star of Joey.”

…How we can get a man with a gun to stand next to the conductor and keep him from playing (some) people off so goddamn fast.

…how weird it is that after Phil Hartman died and was posthumously nominated, somebody from Frasier won. And after John Ritter died and was posthumously nominated…somebody from Frasier won.

…where the hell the tribute to John Ritter was. Unless I blinked and missed him, he wasn’t in the memorium montage, so I figured there’d be a special thing later. Nope.

…if anybody still thinks actors should ever talk without scripts, considering that the best two lines of the night came from, you guessed it, writers:

“Drea (de Matteo), killing you was the toughest writing I ever had to do, and this is coming from a guy who wrote `The New Adventures of Flipper.’” – Drama writing Emmy winner Terence Winter “The Sopranos.”

“… And thanks to my wonderful husband Mark. Someday soon we can get a legal marriage license and you can make an honest homosexual out of me.” – Emmy winner Tony Kushner of “Angels of America” for writing in a miniseries, movie or dramatic special.

…whether Arrested Development is better than I’ve thought it was after watching two or three episodes.

…how strategically placed the Sex & the City stars seats were–Nixon, Parker and Davis together, Cattrall–said to be responsible for nixing a film version–across the isle.

…how glad the Sopranos team are that Aaron Sorkin left The West Wing, giving them a chance to win for best drama.
