Follow the Flock, Step in Shit

Three One G

Hmmm… I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Locust plays such chaotic music that I actually prefer their releases on CD rather than vinyl. I had their split 5″ disc with Jenny Piccolo, and it sounded like crap. Follow the Flock, Step in Shit features the two songs from that split, but here they sound much better.

Those of you who got into Locust because of Plague Soundscapes will probably think this sucks. Where Plague Soundscapes features some pretty crisp recording quality, these songs, even on CD, are very muddy and sloppy. The songs are classic Locust, however: fast, spastic, dirty, violent and weird. The only bad thing is that there are only three songs; the whole disc is less than three minutes long. Collectors will want this. But everyone else can probably skip this one and still live.
