  1. Washington: Sister state to Florida. Our gubernatorial race may actually be going to the courts. As Tapped points out, what’s interesting about this situation is:

“this race actually has some moderately important national implications. The Republican, Rossi, is widely considered to be the only serious potential challenger to Senator Maria Cantwell in two years; should he become governor, he’ll be taken out of contention and Cantwell will likely be safe. Then again, the Democrats just took back control of the state legislature; the party could certainly benefit from having an erstwhile swing state under consolidated Democratic control, providing a bastion of progressive governance.”
