The Sound of the Crowd

Feels like you’re always stuck in second gear

A week or so back I posted an entry here about the latest rejection of one of my plays by a theater company. I wasn’t feeling much love that afternoon. If you want to know what it’s like, see Sideways (how many good reviews does it have to get to get you to see it?)

Anyhow, I ended that little composition of self-pity with the line: I need ice cream. A loyal member of my “fan base” (Corey) sent me three coupons for free Ben & Jerry’s.

Sometimes you gotta have friends. Thanks, buddy. Now: I need Virginia Madsen’s phone number…
