The following editorial from David Corn, an editor at The Nation, hits the nail (well, at least one of the nails) on the head concerning our current state- no one even attempts to hold this administration accountable for the “mistakes” or “misstatements” it has made in the run up to the Iraqi war.

Granted, I’m of the mind to see that none of Bush’s utterances on WMD, or Saddam were misstatements- as a sociopath, Bush didn’t think what he was saying was a lie, but rather some sort of chin music required by the situation, i.e…we’re gonna go to war, need to say SOMETHING, and as previously noted, WMD was “the only thing we could all agree on…” (Wolfie, pre-war).
