Truth to Power

The big spin

This Rove thing won’t go quietly to sleep (although I don’t foresee Karl being “frog-marched” out of the White House, no matter what an exceptional early birthday present THAT would be…), Raw Story has obtained a copy of the Republican talking points on the matter:

Talking Points

They mainly attempt to discredit Joseph Wilson and paint Rove in a kinder light. Ha.

Then, to rebut these, read this from a former CIA associate of Valerie Plame, Larry Johnson.

The lies by people like Victoria Toensing, Representative Peter King, and P. J. O’Rourke insist that Valerie was nothing, just a desk jockey. Yet, until Robert Novak betrayed her she was still undercover and the company that was her front was still a secret to the world. When Novak outed Valerie he also compromised her company and every individual overseas who had been in contact with that company and with her.

Spin, spin, spin. Who knows what will come out in the wash?
