Truth to Power

Cheney’s Halliburton stock options rose 3,281% last year, senator finds

Ok, contrast that with this statement from the dark lord:

“Since I left Halliburton to become George Bush’s vice president, I’ve severed all my ties with the company, gotten rid of all my financial interest,” the Vice President said. “I have no financial interest in Halliburton of any kind and haven’t had, now, for over three years.”

Deputy attorney general pick quits

Timothy E. Flanigan withdrew his nomination yesterday, four months after President Bush selected him to be deputy attorney general.

The withdrawal comes as Democrats accused him of being involved in the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal and of having ties to indicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Democrats also criticized him for not having any courtroom experience as a prosecutor. </i>

And when he does, we have the champagne chillin’ at the M+M Mansion (now with kitchen cabinets!) for the indictment party. All TTP readers are invited.
