Did they lie to the 9/11 Commission?
9/11 Panel Members Weren’t Told of Meeting
WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 – Members of the Sept. 11 commission said today that they were alarmed that they were told nothing about a White House meeting in July 2001 at which George J. Tenet, then the director of central intelligence, is reported to have warned Condoleezza Rice, then the national security adviser, about an imminent Al Qaeda attack and failed to persuade her to take action.
And as an aside, at the behest of my son I watched United 93 this weekend. I know I slammed this flick- without seeing it, very unprofessional, I admit- previously. I now stand corrected. I still think a large amount of it is conjecture, but as far as showing what a supreme CF that day was, the movie is invaluable. I really can’t imagine someone watching the film and not coming away with a load of questions, which is a good thing. Watch it.
