Truth to Power

Fox News: Worse than you know

Yeah, everybody understands that Fox sucks. Biased, slanted “news” created with the sole purpose of undermining democracy, feeding lies to sheep, and providing a cushy place for our war criminals in power to have a little patty cake interview. But really, they are actually worse than all that.

Such as this marching order from Fox brass:

FOX NEWS INTERNAL MEMO: “Be On The Lookout For Any Statements From The Iraqi Insurgents…Thrilled At The Prospect Of A Dem Controlled Congress”…

Which insurgents? Oh yeah, terrorists like the ones you paid 2 MILLION DOLLARS in ransom to, in order to get two of your employees released. And here we thought you guys supported Israel. Ha.

But none of that is as ghoulish and devoid of humanity as this:

O.J. Simpson to Tell FOX How He Would Have Killed Slain Wife Nicole

“O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes,” the network said in a statement. “In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade.”

The interview will air days before Simpson’s new book, “If I Did It,” goes on sale Nov. 30. The book, published by Regan, “hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed.”</i>

As last weeks election showed, FOX news represents a viewpoint far outside that of most Americans. Now we’re not calling for the network to be shut down or lose their broadcasting license- thats what totalitarian governments do- but rather, we’d like to be able to walk into airports, waiting rooms and bars and not be forced to listen to the lies, propaganda and distortions 24/7. It’s time for this nation to get past glorifying inhumanity and embracing stupidity and to move onto a rational debate on the topics that really matter, instead of what jackasses such as Hannity and O’Riley deem to be important.

Heres hoping you a happy bankruptcy.
