Kudos, Ralph Stanley

Ralph Stanley Honored With National Medal of Arts

President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush presented Ralph Stanley the National Medal of Arts during a Thursday (Nov. 9) ceremony in the Oval Office ceremony at the White House. Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, the medal is the nation’s highest honor for artistic excellence. In addition to his 60-year tenure as a recording and performing artist, the 79-year-old Stanley is a multiple Grammy winner and a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Weird, linking to something concerning Bush that doesn’t make me grit my teeth. It’s a new day!
