Not Easy To Forget

Vying for the same musical territory occupied by Norah Jones, Anya Singleton’s sensual, rich voice has a depth and character matched by her music.

Not Easy To Forget may only comprise six songs but they evidence enough of Singleton’s burgeoning talent. “The Nearness of You” recalls heavyweights such as Ella Fitzgerald while the title track has a more modern approach with a superb delivery. The piano-led “Slow Man” is a sassy and sophisticated while opening track “I’m Just Fine” is the song that most warrants comparison with Norah Jones.

Quality material and a stunning voice mean that Anya Singleton could well be a name to remember.
