Truth to Power

Ain’t free speech a pain?

Moron Mike Gallagher thinks so:

Talk Host Gallagher: ‘Round Up’ Olbermann, Damon, And ‘Put Them In A Detention Camp’

Yesterday on Fox News, talk radio host Mike Gallagher said the U.S. government should “round up” actor Matt Damon, “The View” host Joy Behar, and MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann and “put them in a detention camp until this war is over because they’re a bunch of traitors.”

Oh, and this mental midget? He got invited to the White House to play palsy walsy with Bush and other “fans of freedom” such as Atlanta’s own knuckledragger, Neal Boortz, Sean “I was too stupid to work construction” Hannity and others. Nice folks all, I’m sure.

The problem with attempting to ignore these shameless fascists is that they often function (purposely) as a sort of early warning system for mainstream talking points. Now that even Bush sees the writing on the Iraqi wall (it reads, America, you lost, go home), these good little germans are lining up to dish out the tired, 180 degree wrong “reason” that we lost in Iraq- that damn “liburul media” telling nothing but “bad news” and souring the nation on the noble cause of freedom. Pretty much the same thing they said about Vietnam, too- everything was going along fine until those damn hippies and Walter Cronkite poisoned the debate.

Be it bloodlust- or bedwetting- whatever motivates these empty heads to blather on, we may never know. But isn’t it going to be nice, one day, when Neal Boortz is working cable access at 2 in the morning, and Rush Limbaugh is just one more unhireable drug addict with a taste for young flesh?
