Truth to Power

Someone important died yesterday

But since it wasn’t a blonde with big hooters, you’d never know it:

Motown legend Joe Hunter dies

DETROIT, Michigan (Reuters) – Three-time Grammy-winning pianist Joe Hunter of the Funk Brothers, the studio band behind numerous Motown hits, has been found dead in his Detroit apartment, the Detroit Police said.Hunter’s piano work was an integral part of such songs as Martha and the Vandellas’ “Heat Wave” and Marvin Gaye’s “Pride and Joy.” He had just returned on Sunday from a European tour with fellow Funk Brother Jack Ashford.

Sad news.

But on the other hand, the Dead White Girl story might just be vital enough information for the teeming masses, yearning to be even stupider, that the cable news networks will stop doing the GOP’s bidding by running the non-story of Pelosi’s plane.
