When will Bush pardon the traitor?
Libby supporters press for presidential pardon
A Republican stalwart, Libby drew more than 150 letters of support from military commanders and diplomats who praised his government service from the Cold War through the early days of the Iraq war.
“The White House is well aware of what a lot of supporters of Scooter have to say about this,” said Mel Sembler, who served as Bush’s ambassador to Italy and now leads Libby’s defense fund. “There really is only one answer. This man has to step up and pardon him.”</em>
Valerie Plame was a covert officer in the CIA working on gathering intelligence on the spread of weapons of mass destruction. When she was outed to intimidate her husband because he called the President a liar, her front company was lost as well. So, all the work they were doing- for instance, gathering information on the nuclear activities of Iran, for example- all had to end. Thus, the “bad guys” or our enemies, they could continue work on items to kill us unmolested, because Libby, Cheney, and the rest of White House goon squad wanted to play hardball with Joseph Wilson. By outing Plame, they aided our enemies.
As a reminder, our constitution contains the following description:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.
So, go ahead Bush, follow in the footsteps of your father- who pardoned those who did business with our enemies– and pardon Scooter Libby. Because there is nothing more hardball than selling out your country for political gain.
Pardon the traitor, you unelected king. Nothing will serve as a more perfect testament to the contempt for which you hold America than that.
