Marines want out of Iraq

Not because they think the war is a mistake or mismanaged or anything, but rather because they are needed elsewhere. Like Afghanistan, you remember, the other illegal and optional war? The one that was supposed to put down the Taliban (didn’t work), liberate the women (uh, doubtful) and curb the drug traffic (now at all time highs)?

Marines Press to Remove Their Forces From Iraq

WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 – The Marine Corps is pressing to remove its forces from Iraq and to send marines instead to Afghanistan, to take over the leading role in combat there, according to senior military and Pentagon officials.
