Truth to Power

I see people loving other people

Watched a fantastic movie last night, Small Town Gay Bar:

It is difficult, if not impossible for those of us who don’t face alienation, condemnation and abuse each day simply for being alive and different to understand what life must be like for those that do. In a major metropolitan city such as Atlanta there is strength in numbers, and the ability to have a noticeable economic presence that affords a group certain freedoms. Not so in small towns such as those shown in this film, in northern Mississippi. I can’t frankly imagine anything worse than being gay in a small redneck enclave such as these, and the people shown in the film aren’t activists, they don’t carry banners or want to change the world. They simply want to have a beer with someone they love without being attacked for it.

I defy anyone to prove that people loving other people is wrong.
