It’s 36 days to November 4th, election day.
36 more days of who knows what. To be more accurate, there are some people who know what’s going to happen.
Just like they knew about 9/11.
Just like they knew there were no WMDs.
The same people who have committed us to three wars- oh yeah, while you were Palin-watching, we went to war with Pakistan– those people know what’s gonna happen.
You see, they made plans:
Brigade homeland tours start Oct. 1
The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.
Now they’re training for the same mission – with a twist – at home.
Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or man made emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.</em>
Civil unrest and crowd control? For what? The closest thing we’ve had to that in recent memory was the Battle of Seattle, and that is barely a blip on the radar.
But they made plans:
Homeland Security Contracts for Vast New Detention Camps
BERKELEY, Calif.–A Halliburton subsidiary has just received a $385 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to provide “temporary detention and processing capabilities.”
The contract – announced Jan. 24 by the engineering and construction firm KBR – calls for preparing for “an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs” in the event of other emergencies, such as “a natural disaster.” </em>
We’ve watched, and blogged, and marched, and generally did fuck all while a tyrannical government stripped us of such quaint conventions such as habeas corpus, freedom of speech, right to free assembly, verifiable elections, and freedom from torture, just to name a few. We rose up in mighty protest in 2006, put the “opposition party” into power- and a blizzard of press conferences and sternly worded letters later- absolutely nothing- nothing- has been done to stay the collapse of this nation into fascism.

White House Dispatches Team to Push Economic Bill
Paulson said Congress and the administration must move rapidly.
“We must do so in order to avoid a continuing series of financial institution failures and frozen credit markets that threaten American families’ financial well-being, the viability of businesses both small and large, and the very health of our economy,” Paulson said in remarks as prepared for delivery. “The market turmoil we are experiencing today poses great risk to U.S. taxpayers.”
Fratto said it would be “unthinkable” for Congress not to pass legislation this week, asserting the result would be a “very, very serious situation” for the U.S. economy.
Fratto insisted that the plan was not slapped together and had been drawn up as a contingency over previous months and weeks by administration officials. He acknowledged lawmakers were getting only days to peruse it, but he said this should be enough. </em>
Sound like anything familiar? Maybe the run-up to the war in Iraq, with that lying jackal Powell shaking vials of table salt and calling them anthrax? The overnight passage of the Patriot Act? Same people, same plans, same end results.
We have sat on our hands and watched as the money changers have essentially bankrupted America by swapping more debt than there exists money in the world- and now we’re going to pay these thieves 700 billion (a fake number, btw) for the privilege?
So what is happening here? What is going to happen between now and election day? John McCain doesn’t care, he’s “suspended” his campaign in yet another stunt, vital, since the shine has faded from his last brain-dead “maverick” escapade that gave us Palin, a candidate too stupid to be allowed to speak in public.
Will we even have an election? And if we do, what is to stop them from just stealing it outright, as they did in 2004? Or perhaps the next redneck whackadoo with a gun store in the back seat and a nose of meth gets past the guards and actually takes Obama out?
What would it be then? McCain by decree? Another four years of Bush/Cheney? What’s to stop them? And when they are finally convinced that they have sucked every possible dime out of China (because America doesn’t have anything left to steal), are they just going to wander off into the mist, scot-free?
