Truth to Power

A pop culture update

First, a movie recommendation:

“zack”

If you’re a Kevin Smith fan, Seth Rogan wannabe, or just a porn dude, check this out. Truly a romantic comedy, albeit a filthy one, this movie has more heart than most Smith offerings, and is blow beer out your nose funny.

And can we give it up for the Boss? Didn’t get around to watching his Super Bowl performance till last night, and I have to shake my head at the goofs on the net who make moronic comments about how cheesy it was, or “poor song selection”…

“bruces”

I’ll be Bruce’s age in 13 years, and I’ll probably be lucky to stay awake late enough to watch one of his shows, much less actually perform one. 12 minutes of rock unleashed, sure it was a spectacle, and over the top…its the freakin’ SUPER BOWL! Should he have come out with an acoustic guitar and sang “Johnny 99” or something? In a few week span Bruce performs for hundreds of thousands and the President at the Inaugural concert, and then onto the Super Bowl. And some basement dwelling (MOM! I’M OUT OF CHICKEN WINGS DOWN HERE!) noobs criticize him? Damn, but we got some stupid f’n people out there.
