Truth to Power

Big day for freedom in New Hampshire

Kudos to the Granite State:

New Hampshire Senate passes gay-marriage bill

CONCORD, New Hampshire (Reuters) – New Hampshire’s Senate passed a bill on Wednesday that would legalize same-sex marriage after an amendment was added that allows clergy to decline to marry gay couples.

Wait…there’s more!

Medical Marijuana: Yes, 14-10

Concord – Critically and terminally ill patients would be able to use marijuana to ease their pain under a bill the Senate passed today.

By a 14-10 vote, the Senate approved House Bill 648, which allows patients with approval from both their doctors and the state to have up to two ounces and six plants of marijuana. The law allows a patient to designate one caregiver to grow or possess marijuana for them. They can also obtain the drug from another certified patient.</em>

Neither of them are law yet, but hopefully soon will be. Pretty soon we’re actually going to be close to being treated like grownups. Imagine that.
