Straight No Chaser

CD Review – The Soundscapes – Attn: Sonic Youth and Local H Fans

Freestyle Family

Self-Released

Fans of Sonic Youth, Local H and even Fugazi will love the debut album from this Brazilian brother duo. Raphael and Rodrigo Carvalho moved from Sao Paolo to New York City to further their musical career. Since then they have opened for Superchunk, Yo La Tengo, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Stephen Malkumus. This album captures their intensity and high energy into almost 48 adrenaline-fueled minutes. If their live show is anything like this album, then it is a must see, just like this album is a must listen.
