If you have not heard Blind Pilot, you need to. This group is the quintessential alt-country group. And their sound is near-perfect on their five-song live iTunes session that includes two new songs.
The harmonies are what really makes the songs come alive, especially on the live versions of “One Red Thread” and “3 Rounds and a Sound.” The new track “Look at Miss Ohio” is Blind Pilot at their subtle best. They have an incredible knack of keeping their sound low-key, but still getting into your soul. Before you know it, you’re hooked. This session is perfect for fans of Blind Pilot or, if you have never heard them before, this is a good sampler for you. You will probably want to store a few bucks back for when you no doubt will get their debut album 3 Rounds and a Sound.
