You Can’t Bring that Bike in Here!

You Can’t Bring that Bike in Here!

The Bicycling Comedian Tom Snyders

Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival – Yellow Venue</strong>

In comedy, you need a gimmick, and this guy has one in spades – he bikes everywhere from centrally located Key West, Florida. But with 162,000 miles he still can’t get an upgrade. (Bada bing.) He’s biked all over the USA and the inhabitable world, he even biked to Hawaii. Now that’s dedication. Mr. Snyders is completely laid back as a comedian; it must be all those endorphins. When people talk to him from the audience, it’s not heckling, it’s like asking you best buddy about his recent bicycling trip through Andes mountains. His material tends toward funny road stories, and he’s got plenty of them, his delivery is laid back and inviting and his biggest laugh getter is an extensive collection of funny road signs like “Dead Cow for sale” and “Beer – Wine – Ammo”. One of these signs was a neon job that said “Retail Slut” which drew a long diatribe form an audience member about “what is that sign really saying?” Well, not everyone can buy wholesale. I’m not ready to mount up and tackle that August Salt Lake City to Phoenix run, but he’s cool, funny guy to hang out with and he has better leg musculature than any of us.
