The Get Free Tour, with its eclectic bill of bands, opened up with Kentucky’s Picturesque. The bass was practically shaking the room as they took the stage and the crowd bobbed their heads to the post-hardcore vibes.

Broadside rocked the venue as they opened with “The Simple Type” off their first full length album. With Oliver Baxxter’s soulful voice and their heavy hitting pop punk instrumentals, the crowd started to pick up the energy.

Though it wasn’t until Tonight Alive burst onto the stage that the crowd started to really pick up the pace. Opening with “How Does It Feel?” Jenna Mcdougall’s voice soared through the venue. I’ve seen Tonight Alive quite a few times over the years and they always bring this spunk with them that never fades. It feels like they truly connect with their audience, no matter where they go. Ending their set with “Temple” off their latest release, the ground was officially shaking with how many people were jumping.

Lastly, Silverstein captivated the crowd with “Ghost” off their latest full length Dead Reflection. The crowd was so loud that I could barely hear myself think. Soon after they broke out an old jam “Bleeds No More” off a 2003 release. Everyone in the crowd was yelling at this point, it was a classic emo anthem. They had such an energetic stage presence it blew me away.
Closing out the night with an encore, Silverstein wiped the whole crowd out with playing “Discovering the Waterfront” and “The Afterglow.”
