The Black Keys

Brothers (Deluxe Remastered Anniversary Edition)

Nonesuch Records

The Black keys have reached the 10 year milestone for their breakout album Brothers and have released a remastered version in 3 different formats. Available in cd, a double vinyl LP complete with 60 pages of photos and new liner notes by David Fricke, and also in a limited 7” singles collection. The remastered album adds three new tracks to the album, “Keep my name outta your mouth” and “Black mud part II” were both previously unreleased songs, and “Chop and change” appeared on the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Brothers, placed by Rolling Stone magazine as the #2 album of the year in 2010, still sonically hits you in the gut with some straight ahead, blues-soaked, rock and roll . The bands website states that this is the first of a now annual series of archival releases to come so fans have much more reason to keep The Black Keys on their radar. Available through their website and most online retailers, you can grab a copy and re-experience what made this album such an amazing collection of music.
