Freedom Debuts at #1

Journey’s July 8 release of Freedom, the band’s first new-music album since 2011, launched at #1 on the “Current Rock Chart” [ed: despite its mention in many versions of this story, this chart could not be independently located]. Randy Jackson, bassist on Journey’s 1986 album Raised on Radio, appeared on the album.
