Neko Case Streams Wild Creatures: Live From The Lung

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Neko Case’s Blacklisted, the artist released her performance of “I Wish I Was the Moon” from her first official streaming performance, Wild Creatures: Live From The Lung, on August 20, 2022. Recorded from Neko’s home studio in Vermont, the event was streamed for paid Entering The Lung Substack subscribers first.

Originally featured on Blacklisted, this rendition features Paul Rigby (pedal steel), Carl Newman (guitar), and Luke Reynolds (bass). In April, Case released Wild Creatures, a 23-song career retrospective digital album and immersive website with animated artwork by Laura Plansker, short essays, and track-by-track commentary from well-respected guest contributors celebrating Neko’s two decades of solo work.
