F.Y.P

My Man Grumpy

Recess

This is my first F.Y.P experience, although I’ve heard the name thrown around for a long time. What a great band! Solid snotty pop-punk kinda along the lines of old Screeching Weasel, but with some of the hooks of newer Queers stuff, and extra elements that make it F.Y.P. There seems to be an unending supply of bands around that have Screeching Weasel and The Queers as easy reference points, so it’s nice to have one that sticks out as different and better than most. Seventeen catchy, dumb, good songs in 30 minutes. Punk rock. Recess Records, P.O. Box 1112, Torrance, CA 90505
