Cheri Knight

The Northeast Kingdom

E-Squared

Cheri Knight’s second solo album, The Northeast Kingdom, is a lush, lovely record, with just enough twang and soul to keep it interesting. Blessed with a lovely voice, Cheri Knight works through a number of songs with a variety of style nuances. Some keep a strong hold on hillbilly roots, others with a harder, more modern edge, while keeping her personality running throughout. Her songs’ lyrics tend to get a bit too poetic for my taste, but The Northeast Kingdom is still several cuts above the norm. E-Squared, 1815 Division St., Suite 101, Nashville, TN 37203
