The Business

The Truth, the Whole Truth, and Nothing but the Truth

Taang!

English Punk. That pretty much sums it up. This fairly aggressive English punk band has released what is, to me, lyrically one of the best albums that I have heard this year. The lyrics deal with a lot of the problems and feelings that a English factory worker growing up in the streets would have experienced growing up, growing old and generally getting through life. Although, I imagine it means much more to English people, as a “colonist” I can say that they provide an interesting description of life in that area. The topics have a fair range, dealing with subjects like fatherhood, street life, unemployment, and dissatisfaction with the government. I don’t just mean the typical “Fuck the government” song (not that there is anything wrong with that), they actually expand a little bit. I don’t have my inlay card here, so you will just have to trust me when I say listen to any song. Taang!, 706 Pismo Ct., San Diego, CA 92109
