Music Reviews

Good collection of pop-core or more aggressive power pop. I won’t say punk, because they have a vocal sound safe enough for regular TV; I gather a late 1990’s TV show about teenagers would have the kids putting together a band like this. Catchy songs mostly about relationships. I want to say “ugh!” but the music is too good. “Dance On” has some particularly interesting exotic guitars mixed in with the upbeat pop. “She Sucks” is the most aggressive song on the album, with “Max Capacity” being a close second. The rest of this thirteen-song album wavers between acoustic, slower pop and occasionally pop guitar outbursts. Mock Records, 534 North 80th, Seattle, WA 98103.
